Synopsis of Minutes 

Council Members Present In-Person: Dustin Hall, Chairperson; Shannon Leson, Vice-Chairperson; Chelsea Krentz; Scott Moffat; Nancy Kirk; Robert Volk; Mark Muir; Denny Huyghebaert, Deputy Superintendent of Funeral and Cremation Services 

Council Members Present by Zoom: Amanda Starosta; Gay Patrick; Don Sheppard 

Council Staff Present: Colin Bachynski, Registrar; Kim Eberts, Assistant Registrar and Compliance Officer; Tanya Chernick-Aldridge, Office Administrator

At the commencement of the meeting, an in-camera meeting was held.

Council was advised that one complaint was received since the last meeting of Council.  One complaint has been concluded and there are currently five matters sitting before Investigation Committees. There have been no compliance reviews conducted since the last meeting of Council.

The following motions were passed by Council:

  • For Council administration to create a policy and implementation plan for Photo ID for Council to review.
  • The fees for attending the 2022 Spring Symposium, both in-person and virtually, be set at $275 + GST.
  • For those attending the 2022 Annual General Meeting virtually, attendance will be restricted to licensees only.
  • A motion made at the December 9th, 2021 Council meeting to restrict any in-person events held by Council requiring those attending to be fully vaccinated has been rescinded.

The next meeting of Council will be held on Thursday, March 31st, 2022.
