Council was advised there have been no complaints since the last meeting and one matter has been resolved by an investigation committee.  A complaint from 2019 has been referred to a discipline committee.  Forty-four compliance reviews have been conducted to date, of which twelve have been conducted virtually.  Council was advised the virtual compliance have proved to be very successful.

A motion was passed to accept the revisions to bylaw 2014(1), (4) and (6) as presented.

A motion was passed to approve the September 2020 Revenue & Expense reports as presented.

A motion was passed that in view of the existing pandemic situation council encourages increased virtual participation attendance at the 2021 virtual spring symposium.  To facilitate greater participation Council agrees to waive the fees for licensees to participate.

A motion was passed that without setting precedent, Council accepts the recommendation to reinstate Lorne Klassen’s funeral director/salesperson’s license.

The next meeting of Council will be held on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020.
