Synopsis of Minutes 

Present: Jeff Weafer, Vice-Chairperson; Dustin Hall; Lyle Burkell; Gay Patrick; Scott Moffat; Chelsea Krentz; Sandy Mahon, Registrar; Denny Huyghebaert, Superintendent of Funeral and Cremation Services

Present by teleconference: Amanda Starosta; Nancy Kirk; Robert Volk

Council was advised two complaints have been received since the last meeting of Council.  One has been successfully resolved and one remains ongoing.  Twenty-eight compliance reviews have been conducted to date.

A motion was passed to approve the November 2019 Revenue & Expense Reports as presented, and a further motion was passed to approve the 2020 Budget as presented.

A motion was passed to accept the AON Hewitt Extrapolation of the Assurance Fund as presented.

The 2020 Spring Symposium attendance fees will remain at $275 + GST.

Council was advised that Sask Polytechnic has advised of the termination of the Funeral Service Training Program in July 2020.  Current students will be allowed to continue their training until completion of the program.

A motion was passed to approve Advisory 29 – Acquiring Digital Fingerprints as amended.

The next meeting of Council will be held March 26, 2020 dependent on agenda items.
