Synopsis of Minutes 

Present: Gloria Malinoski, Chairperson; Jeff Weafer, Vice-Chairperson; Amanda Starosta; Nancy Kirk; Robert Volk; Dustin Hall; Lyle Burkell; Gay Patrick; Chelsea Krentz; Denny Huyghebaert, Deputy Superintendent of Funeral Cremation Services; Sandy Mahon, Registrar

Council welcomed two new Public Appointees:

  • Gay Patrick, Regina; and
  • Scott Moffat, Weyburn.

Council was advised that three complaints have been received since the last Council meeting and all have been successfully concluded.  Three previous complaints are currently ongoing.

Was Council was advised that two Regional Forums will be held:

  • Regina – Wednesday, September 18th, 2019
  • Saskatoon – Wednesday, September 25th, 2019

Discussion was held regarding price list availability to consumers.  In accordance to the legislation it must be made available upon request.

A motion was passed to accept the May, June & July 2019 Revenue & Expense Reports as presented.

Council accepted the recommendation of the Communications Committee that the newly updated FCSCS website go live and that the FCSCS Facebook page be activated.

A motion was passed to approve the 2019-09 Data Breach Response Policy as presented.

A motion was passed that Council reaffirms that the titles and designations that exists will be maintained as per bylaw 3060.

Motions were passed for the following appointment of Council members to Committees:

  • Amanda Starosta – Legislative & Governance Committee & Communications Committee
  • Gay Patrick – Audit/Finance Committee
  • Chelsea Krentz – Communications Committee

The next meeting of Council will be held Wednesday, October 16th, 2019
