Synopsis of Minutes
Present: Shannon Leson, Chairperson; Gloria Malinoski, Vice-Chairperson; Nancy Kirk; Jeff Weafer; Lyle Burkell; Eleanor Shumay; Denny Huyghebaert, Deputy Superintendent of Funeral and Cremation Services; Sandy Mahon, Registrar

A motion was passed to adopt the revision to Policy and Procedures of Council 2007-09 – Appointments to Investigation and Discipline Committees.
A motion was passed to strike standing committees for Investigations and Discipline.
Council was advised that four complaints have been received since the last meeting of Council. One has successfully been resolved. Eight compliance reviews have been conducted to date.
A motion was passed to appoint Lorne Puffalt as the Chairperson of the Legislative & Governance Committee.
A motion was passed to approve the December 2017 Revenue & Expense Reports as presented. A further motion was passed to approve the 2018 Budget as presented.
A motion was passed to approve the AON Evaluation of the Assurance Fund as presented.
Council was advised that Occupational Health and Safety Inspectors have advised they will be visiting all funeral homes in Saskatchewan by January 1, 2019.
The next meeting of Council will be March 29, 2018.
