Synopsis of Minutes
Present at office: Jeff Weafer; Sandy Mahon, Registrar; Denny Huyghebaert, Deputy Superintendent of Funeral and Cremation Services

The Registrar reported there have been three complaints received since the last meeting of Council and all three have been concluded.
A motion was passed to convene an investigation committee comprised of Don Sheppard – Licensee, Chairperson; Darren Fedusiak – Licensee and Art Hunter – Consumer, to consider complaint 2015-05.
Seventy-one Compliance Reviews have been conducted to date as well as three file by file trust reviews.
Council welcomed the new Deputy Superintendent of Funeral and Cremation Services, Denny Huyghebaert.
A motion was passed to approve the June 2015 Revenue & Expense Reports as presented.
A motion was passed to conduct annual extrapolations of the Assurance Fund and to consider the need for a full review in 2017.
Council was advised that Shannon Leson, Communications Committee Chairperson, will be attending the Sask Board of Funeral Homes AGM in October 2015 to discuss the possibility of joint communications.
Council advised that a Regional Forum will be held on September 22, 2015 in Yorkton at St. Mary’s Parish.
The next meeting of Council is October 15, 2015.
