Synopsis of Minutes

 

Present:  Phil Fredette; Chairperson, Eleanor Shumay, Shannon Leson, Agnes Ewen, Nancy Kirk, Gloria Malinoski, Sandy Mahon; Registrar

Council was advised one complaint has been received since the last meeting but has been successfully resolved between the parties.  In addition, several other complaints have been successfully resolved since the last meeting.

Eight compliance reviews have been conducted to date as well as three trust-by-trust compliance reviews.

A motion was passed to appoint Jeff Ofstie to the Investigation Panel.

A motion was passed to appoint the following members to consider complaint number 2014-12:

  • Don Sheppard; Chairperson & Licensee;
  • Gerry Mitchell, Licensee; and
  • Art Hunter, Consumer

 A motion was passed to accept the November 2014 Revenue & Expense Reports as presented.

 Correspondence from a licensee in relation to continuing education was discussed at length.  As a result of this discussion the Registrar will respond to the licensee.

Council was advised that the US Center for Disease Control has released revised Ebola Protocol which will be shared with licensees in due course.

 A motion was passed to address the matter of sick leave for council staff.

The next meeting of Council will be held on March 26, 2015.
