Synopsis of Minutes


Present: Phil Fredette, Chairperson; Robert Volk; Sandy Mahon, Registrar

Council was advised one complaint had been received since the last meeting of Council.

Ninety-four compliance reviews have been conducted to date along with four prepaid contract compliance reviews. 

Council was advised the Registrar has been elected as the Secretary Treasure of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards and is now on the Executive of the Board.

A motion was passed to amend bylaw 2040 as presented by the Legislative & Governance Committee. 

A motion was passed to approve the August 2014 Revenue & Expense Reports as presented. 

Council was advised two Regional Forums will be held in November.  The first Forum will be held in Swift Current on November 12, 2014 and the second will be held in North Battleford on November 13, 2014. 

Council was given an update on the discussions that took place at the recent SIAST Advisory group meeting. 

At his request, a motion was passed to remove Doug Mortin from the Discipline Panel. 

The next meeting of Council will be held on November 20, 2014.
